CHRISTENSEN-ROBERTSON, Becky On October 23, 2017, Becky Christensen-Robertson passed away in the presence of her family at the age of 60. She fought a courageous and pragmatic battle against cancer – she was resolute in her humility and joy through it all. A cheerful and good-natured dairy farmer’s daughter, Becky took pride in persistence and hard work. She was born in San Luis Obispo, California – graduated with a B.S. from California State University Fresno. She was the first woman in her family to achieve a college degree. Working joyfully to do her best every day, Becky succeeded along with her generation of American women – raising a family and having a career of her own. In her career spanning 37 years in Sonoma County, Becky served her health insurance clients in an upbeat, dependably awesome and sometimes unrelenting tone of voice. She always made time for reading and enriching herself with the perspectives others. Becky loved to offer help. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, David Robertson; their son Derrek and daughter Kathryn; siblings Iris Wilson and George (Belinda) Christensen, nieces Tennille, Nicole and Sara, nephews Chad and Tyler, three grand-nieces and three grand-nephews. Becky was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Dorothy Christensen and her brother Donald Christensen. Her family will remember her infectious laughter and determination to find joy every day. A celebration of Becky’s life will be held at the Santa Rosa Golf and Country Club on November 11th at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to 4-H Youth Sonoma County, The Living Room Center Santa Rosa or The Redwood Empire Food Bank.
