CROWE, Cecil W. Age 95 years, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2016 at Green Acres Manor in Kenwood, CA. He is preceded in death by wives Margaret and Dorothy, parents Margaret and Robert, and brothers Robert and Samuel. He leaves behind daughters Kathryn, Janice and granddaughter Alena, nephews Gary and Dennis, the gang on Lawrence Lane, his brothers in the Mill Valley and Sebastopol Masonic Lodges, and many friends throughout Sebastopol and Santa Rosa. Cecil was exceedingly proud of his Irish heritage and visited his ancestral home on several occasions to visit with cousins, nieces and nephews and their families. He leaves behind many cherished relatives in Ireland and N. Ireland. The Masonic Lodge was an important part of Cecil’s life. During his 50 year membership in the Lodge he was a Past Master and attained the rank of Master Mason. Born in Estherville, Iowa on Jan. 22, 1921 Cecil moved with his family to Sebastopol as a child. He graduated from Analy HS, Class of 1939 and continued his education at SRJC, SJSU & NWU Law School. He was a Navy seaman, police officer, safety and security officer, community volunteer, traveler, cowboy, and rancher. He was a keeper of gardens and orchards, dogs and cats, horses, bees, chickens, sheep, and an occasional donkey. He will be missed. Friends are invited to attend a service on Dec. 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Pleasant Hills Memorial Park in Sebastopol. A luncheon reception will follow at La Bodega Kitchen in Sebastopol.
