HOY, Charles Walter Age 86 of Penngrove, CA, born September 11, 1931 in Fort Wayne, Indiana; died Sunday, January 21st, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Charles “Chuck” is remembered as a devoted son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He served his country in the United States Air Force as a sergeant in the mess hall during the Korean War, which inspired him to learn the art of butchery as a lifelong profession. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Vera Hoy, brother Jack Hoy, and grandson Henry Durkee. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joan Hoy, their six children; daughters Kathy Hoffman, Christine Hoy, Shelly Hoy, and sons Gary Hoy, Brian Hoy, Darin Hoy. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Patricia Hoy, one niece, three nephews, nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Hessel Church in Sebastopol.
