Gerald “Jerry” Millerick
Passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 11, 2019 at his home in Sebastopol surrounded by his loving family. Age, 77 years. Son of the late Francis (Buzz) and Margaret Millerick. Devoted husband for 55 years of Claudia Millerick of Sebastopol. Cherished father of Beth (Alan) Greenblatt of Sudbury, MA and Ed (Lisa) Millerick of Forestville. Adored grandfather of Haley Millerick and Ben and Sam Greenblatt. Loving brother of Dorothy (Tony) Gaitan of Santa Rosa and the late Carol Weikal. Jerry is also survived by numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was born in Santa Rosa and was reared and educated in Sebastopol. He is an alumnus of Analy High School class of 1959. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy. After working with his father, Jerry was owner operator of the Jerry Millerick Excavating and Grading Company, operating equipment for 50 years. Occasionally they would move intact houses and buildings within Sonoma County. A highlight was when they moved the old Sebastopol Fire House down Highway 116 from one side of Sebastopol to their work yard across town. He was an avid and accomplished golfer, but above all cherished time spent with his family. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of his life Monday, April 15, 2019 at 6:00 PM with a dinner reception to follow at Sebastopol Christian Church, 7433 Bodega Avenue, Sebastopol. Private interment. The family prefers memorial contributions in his memory be made to Redwood Gospel Mission at or to Crossing the Jordan at Funeral Arrangements by Adobe Creek Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Petaluma. 707-789-9000
